Terence M. Lenamon is a Florida Bar board-certified expert in the area of criminal trial law. He is AV-Preeminent™ rated and has over 20 years’ experience with more than 120 jury trials. Mr. Lenamon has built a reputation as one of Florida’s most respected criminal defense lawyers handling capital death penalty cases. He has handled in excess of 85 first degree murder cases. His skilled, high-quality defense has been sought by many high-profile clients including Ceasar Mena, Joshua Fulgham, and Casey Anthony and has led him through 25 first-degree murder trials with twelve of those being death penalty cases. That experience has brought him national recognition as a go-to commentator on death penalty issues.

Whether it be a capital crime or DUI, Mr. Lenamon puts his trial skills to work for clients accused of the most serious of crimes and facing the most serious of punishments. His cases have been profiled on national television shows including “The Point”, Nancy Grace, and “The First 48.” He has successfully persuaded the State to waive the death penalty more than 50 times.

Mr. Lenamon is a graduate of Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College®, has taught attorneys techniques in the area of mitigation investigation, case preparation, use of experts, pretrial litigation, motion practice, trial techniques and jury selection.  He has also taught mitigation specialists in all areas.  He is founder of Florida Capital Resource Center, a non-profit that provides support to death penalty defense lawyers in Florida. Terence Lenamon also travels the State of Florida, mentoring lawyers on their active death penalty cases.
